THE grand secretary of the Orange Order has told a reception at the Irish Embassy in London it now has members called Seán and Séamus.

Speaking at an event honouring the Orange Order, Drew Nelson said it was a sign of changing times.

The reception was hosted by the Irish ambassador to Britain, Dan Mulhall, last Monday and coincided with an exhibition at the House of Commons of the Orange Order's designs for two museums it plans to open in Belfast and Loughgall.

Among the guests at the event were DUP MP Jeffrey Donaldson, who is a member of the organisation.

According to the Sunday Times, in his speech to the embassy Mr Nelson said the Orange Order's current membership was a sign of changed times.

He said among its members were men called Séan and Séamus and "we even have a Mohammed".
