Visit to Ulster Folk Museum a unique experience for Irish dance schools

THE three Irish dance schools of Quinn School of Irish Dance, Kildara School of Irish Dance and Lorraine Scallon School of Irish Dance were treated to a unique experience at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra, Co Down. They received a personal tour of the Step in Time exhibition by museum curator Valerie Wilson. They were also given the opportunity to be hands-on in the crafts workshop with the girls making tiaras and the boys making Taras. Everyone tried their hand at willow making with a willow star created by all the children for their Christmas tree. The highlight of the day was the Irish dance workshop taken by a former Riverdance performer.
