New poll suggests 'No' win

A NEW opinion poll has suggested voters will reject Scottish independence by a narrow margin. The poll, by Survation for the Daily Record, suggested 47.6 per cent of Scottish voters back 'No', 42.4 per cent back 'Yes', with 10 per cent still undecided.

The new poll was conducted before Conservative leader David Cameron, Liberal Democrats head Nick Clegg and Labour leader Ed Miliband visited Scotland separately yesterday to campaign against independence.

Mr Cameron and Mr Miliband abandoned prime minister's question time in the House of Commons to campaign, after recent opinion polls suggested the 'Yes' camp was gaining ground.
