Joe Bratty

South Belfast UFF leader Joe Bratty (33), below, was said to have escaped eight IRA attempts on his life before being killed in 1994. Police identified him as having attempted to buy at an auction a getaway car for the loyalist gunmen who carried out the 1992 bookies' attack.

He was, however, ruled out as one of the gunmen as he was in court on the day of the attack.

In April 1994 he was implicated in the murder of Catholic mother-oftwo Teresa Clinton just streets away from Sean Graham bookmakers'.

He was shot dead on July 31 1994 just weeks before the IRA ceasefire.

Raymond Elder

Raymond Elder was charged with the Sean Graham bookies' attack in 1992.

The prominent member of the UFF in south Belfast was identified by eyewitnesses as one of the gunmen.

He was arrested less than 24 hours afterwards in what police believe was the gang's second getaway car. However, charges against him were dropped in November 1992.

The 32-year-old was shot dead by the Provisional IRA along with Joe Bratty on the Ormeau Road on July 31 1994.
