Shop fined over food hygiene

A POUND shop in east Belfast has been fined £1,800 for food hygiene offences after inspectors found dead mice, droppings and a strong smell of urine. The owners of Poundstretcher at connswater Shopping centre were also ordered to pay court costs of £75 for three food hygiene offences. The prosecution was brought by Belfast city council after a routine inspection on February 14 last year found unsatisfactory hygiene conditions throughout the premises.
