Men faked illness before car hijack

TWO men have hijacked a car in Derry after faking illness at the side of the Racecourse Road at around 10.30pm on Friday.

They stole the car after a man driving a silver Mitshbishi pick-up stopped to help them.

The car was later found abandoned in the Bloomfield Park area of the city. One of the men, aged in his late 20s, is described as being around 5ft 10in tall, and of medium build, with short black hair. He was wearing a dark hooded sweat-top, a dark jacket with a high collar and jeans.

The other man, also aged in his early twenties, is around 5ft 8in tall, of thin build, with short brown hair. He was wearing jeans and a dark sweat-top. Police have appealed for information.
