US ROCK stars The killers are to headline this year's Tennent's Vital music festival in Belfast.
The Las Vegas rockers, fronted by Brandon Flowers, will play Boucher Playing Fields on Thursday August 21. One of the biggest bands in the world, The killers have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and are famous for anthems including Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me and Human.
Winners of countless accolades, including Brit, NME and MTV Awards, the band last played the festival in 2007. The killers will be joined on the bill by special guests English rock band Bastille. Unlike last year, where the festival ran over three days, this year's event takes place over two with further details about the line-up expected in the coming weeks.
Tickets for The killers and Bastille, which cost £49.50, go on sale on Monday, March 31. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster outlets and by calling 084 4847 2455 (NI) or 081 8719 300 (RoI).
