FOYLE MP Mark Durkan has paid tribute to former Derry City councillor Bill Keys.
The former SDLP councillor and father of singer Margaret Keys died earlier this week.
Mr Durkan described the late Mr Keys as a "man of utmost decency" who was passionate in his causes but never prejudiced in his outlook. "As a public representative and in all his work to encourage enterprise he proved his regard for others and his belief in betterment for our city," the Foyle MP said. "In some of the worst years of the Troubles and the harsh economic climate of the Thatcher years he pushed a positive economic and civic agenda."
