NORTHERN Ireland man has been jailed for six years in Edinburgh for rape. Thomas Connor carried out a brutal attack on the woman at an address in Kirkcudbright in November 2012. The 40-year-old, who has been living in Scotland for several years, was said in court to have left Northern Ireland to get away from "illegal activities".
