Police back at attack scene

Detectives investigating the attempted murder of police in a gun attack in north Belfast last thursday returned to the scene last night to try and gather more information. Several shots were fired at three police vehicles on crumlin Road just after 7pm on December 5.

No officers were injured. Parishioners were attending Mass at Holy cross church at the time.

Police returned to the scene last night to distribute leaflets and talk to people at the church.

Officers are interested in the movements of a silver Volkswagen Passat, registration number icZ 9780, believed to have been used by the gunmen.
