RETIRED judge is due to report by the end of this week on allegations that gardai colluded in the 1989 murder by the provisional IRA of RUC officers Chief superintendent Harry Breen and superintendent Bob Buchanan.
Mr Justice peter smithwick spent eight years investigating whether a garda tip-off led to the men being killed after their car was ambushed in south Armagh following a visit to dundalk garda station. Gardai have denied the allegations.
