TEN-MILE run is due to take place in Co down this weekend to raise funds for the Mourne Mountain rescue Team.
The 'running4rescue' event will be held along a scenic route in Annalong on Saturday. Registration takes place at Annalong Marine Park from 9am with the event starting at 11am. A minimum donation of £5 is requested, with a four-mile walk also taking place. Running4rescue was set up by the annalong Community development association and Mourne runners, who got together to organise a road race in the annalong area. The group said: "as Mourne runners take part in most local mountain running events, we thought the local rescue team would be a worthy cause for our event".
