Sectarian gang attack cars

SECTARIAN vandals attacked two cars owned by a Catholic family in a Co Derry village.

One car was set on fire in Main Street in Garvagh, while the other was torched in the Millview Gardens area in an attack in the early hours of Monday. Church of ireland rector in Garvagh, Rev Paul Whittaker, said the family had "lived in the same house for three generations but now feel very frightened at the prospect of staying on in their home".

He visited the family, who told him they were also attacked two years ago. Police appealed for information.
