Adair plot accused in court

REPUBLICAN sympathisers linked to a plot to kill former UdA boss Johnny Adair and his associate Sam McCrory made a second appearance before a court in Glasgow yesterday.

Anton duffy (39), Martin Hughes (34), and Stacy McAllister (27), from Glasgow, Paul Sands (30), from Ayr, and Edward McVeigh (26), from Port-patrick, dumfries and Galloway, were arrested last month.

They appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with conspiring to commit acts of terrorism.

All except McVeigh also face a separate charge of conspiracy to murder.

They made no plea during the hearing and were remanded in custody.

A sixth person appeared at the same court last week charged with conspiring to commit acts of terrorism and conspiracy to murder.

John Gorman (56), from Irvine, North Ayrshire, was remanded in custody.
