FORMER RTE newsreader Anne Doyle is coming to a cinema near you. The veteran broadcaster makes an unlikely cameo appearance in the trailer for the Hollywood film Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which hits screens in December. One of the most recognisable faces in Irish television, Ms Doyle read the news with RTE for 33 years before her retirement in 2011. The specially-commissioned trailer for Irish audiences shows a younger Ms Doyle, above, introducing the news before cutting to clips from the multi-million-dollar movie. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is a comedy about the antics of fictional broadcaster Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) and several sidekicks as they cause mayhem in a New York newsroom.
