Arrest over drug baron's killing

A 39-year-old man was being questioned last night about the dissident republican murder of Kevin Kearney in north Belfast on Tuesday.

The man was arrested in west Belfast yesterday afternoon and was taken to Antrim police station for questioning. Kearney (46), pictured, was regarded as the boss of a Belfast drugs gang.

A paramilitary group styling itself 'The IRA' admitted responsibility for

his murder.

The Irish News revealed yesterday that an arms cache found in east Belfast in August is believed to have been linked to Kearney's gang.
