n RemembeRing: The Tribute in Light rises above the lower Manhattan skyline and One World Trade Center, in a test of the memorial light display, on Monday in New York. The twin beams of light were to form part of yesterday's commemorations in the city on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the Twin Towers in 2001. As many as 2,750 people died in New York after al-Qaida hijacked passenger planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center.
