Explicit concert photographs probed

EXPLICIT photos of a teenage girl engaged in sexual acts with two separate boys during a weekend concert at Slane are being investigated by gardai.

Hundreds of internet users have shared the images on social network sites after they were taken at rapper Eminem's concert at the Co Meath venue on Saturday.

The girl, understood to be a secondary school pupil from the west of Ireland, has reportedly been left devastated after the images of her and two boys pictured at the concert were circulated.

A Garda spokesman said their officers have already spoken to the teenage girl and her parents and appealed for privacy for the girl.

When asked if gardai had spoken to the boys involved a spokesman said it "would be inappropriate to comment further".

There were reports last night that one of the boys is from west Belfast.

With the images circulating all day on Twitter, Jarlath Burns, a former Armagh GAA captain and vice-principal of St Paul's High School in Bessbrook, urged people to delete tweets showing the photos.

"As child protection teacher in a school of 1,500 I can attest to the devastation that girl in Slane must be feeling. Please delete tweets," he tweeted yesterday.

"If she is under 16 it is criminal of-fence to view those pics. It is also cyberbullying and will be causing desolation today.

"There is simply no bottom to the isolation and devastation a girl can feel in the wake of something like this. She needs supported not judged."
