Case 4: Keith Laffin, Christopher McNally andw Gary Stevenson

THE men were involved in a major crime gang caught importing drugs with a street value of £1.2 million. Pictures of two others involved - Barry Kavanagh (32), of Belmont Avenue West in Belfast, and Liam Young (35), of Mourne View Park, Lisburn - were released by police. They admitted last month being concerned in the supply of class A and B drugs and were both given a six-year jail sentence, with half to be served on licence.

Four-year terms were given to Laffin (31), of Brackenagh West Road in Ballymartin; McNally (28), of Donard Avenue, Bangor; and Stevenson (30), of The Hawthorns, Annalong. However, police refused to release pictures of the three men.

When asked for the images, a spokeswoman said: "They are not the main players."
