Holmes: Bury me from St Patrick's

TELEVISION presenter Eamonn Holmes has said he wants to be buried from St Patrick's Church which is at the centre of one of Belfast's most bitter parade disputes. Mr Holmes, who lives and works in England, confirmed his affection for the church as part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of the National Churches Trust. Sixty people from the world of politics, entertainment, journalism and academia were asked to identify their favourite church as part of the celebrations. Originally from north Belfast, Mr Holmes said his family had close connections with the church. "This is the parish church of my family and extended family," he said. "I was baptised here in 1959 and my father's funeral service was from here - as will mine be."
