A NEW group set up to highlight miscarriages of justice will hold a major conference in Belfast today. A number of high-profile human rights campaigners including Gerry Conlon from the Guildford Four and Paddy Hill from the Birmingham Six will speak at the Justice Watch Ireland event. Lawyer Gareth Peirce, who has represented both the Guildford Four and Birmingham Six, will also speak at the event along with Moazzam Begg who was held for three years without charge by US authorities in Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay. John Finucane, the son of murdered solicitor Pat Finucane, is also expected to speak at the event.
