THE Irish News scooped a host of other awards at last night's CIPR Media Awards, which took place at the MAC theatre in Belfast.Hosted by broadcaster Eamonn Holmes, the night brought a string of awards and commendations for the paper. As well as long-time columnist Anne Hailes being awarded the lifetime achievement award, photographer Mal McCann was named news photographer of the year.Nuala McCann was named columnist of the year.Health correspondent Seanin Graham was highly commended in the specialist journalist category.Bimpe Archer was highly commended in the feature journalist section and columnist Patrick Murphy was highly commended in the columnist of the year category.
