Building blocks of history

? DISCOVERING FARMING: An engaging new programme of historic working farm activities was launched yesterday at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Holywood Co Down. Discovery Farm at the folk museum provides a living history experience portraying daily life on farms 100 years ago. The initiative is aimed at further developing the popular rural area at the museum and adding to its widespread appeal. The project, which has been jointly funded by the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, will enable visitors to experience rural life in the early 1900s and uncover the rhythm of the farming year, discovering daily tasks and traditional agricultural practices.
