Former PUP deputy leader joins

A FORMER deputy leader of the loyalist Progressive Unionist Party (PUP) has joined the north's newest political party.North Down-based teacher David Rose helped the new party draft its constitution in the run-up to last night's launch in Belfast. NI21 deputy leader John McCallister said the former PUP man would bring a "wealth of experience" to the new party."David is hugely experienced in politics both at home and abroad and he's been a huge asset to us over the past few months," the South Down MLA said.Mr Rose has no official or title role within NI21.He left the PUP in 2010 in protest at the UVF murder of Bobby Moffett on Belfast's Shankill Road.
