A BAN has been imposed on selling rod-caught salmon as a conservation measure.The regulation brings the north into line with the Republic and Britain and comes into force on June 1.Minister for culture, arts and leisure Caral Ni Chuilin said the ban was the first step in a series of conservation measures to protect Atlantic salmon stocks.The sale of rod-caught sea-trout will also be prohibited.
