A heist-themed mode is being added to Fortnite that sets players the task of stealing jewels.
The Getaway mode comes as part of a new High Stakes in-game event and will only be available for a limited period.

The aim of the game is to crack one of four safes dotted on the map as part of a team, in the hope of claiming a crystal llama inside, according to details shared during the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle this week.
As with previous events on the popular game, themed cosmetic rewards will be on offer to users who complete challenges, including skins with card-themed masks and a money-laden glider that drops notes as you fly through the sky.

Fortnite developer Epic Games had planned to release the mode, known as High Stakes, as part of an update on Wednesday, but a critical controller issue has forced the company to push it back to Thursday instead.
It’s not clear how long the Getaway mode will be around, but previous limited-time events suggest it may only last a matter of weeks.
