Games developer Bethesda has been teasing fans with hints of an upcoming announcement linked to its hugely popular Fallout series.
A Gif of the “Please Stand By” message synonymous with the post-nuclear apocalypse game appeared on the firm’s Twitter account, followed by live stream on their Twitch account of the same screen and a Vault-Tec bobblehead toy.

What is definitely true is that we are entering a frenzied period of rumours and teasers in the gaming world – the biggest trade show of the year, E3, is just around the corner, where some of the industry’s biggest names will unveil their gaming line-ups for the coming year.
A new Fallout being among that list is not beyond the realms of possibility. It has been almost three years since the last major title in the series – the critically acclaimed Fallout 4.
Another instalment in that story has been mooted by some, while others have suggested a Switch version or remastering of a previous Fallout game could be the big news planned.
Gaming site Kotaku, however, is hinting that the teaser is indeed linked to a brand new game, one which could be revealed as early as today.
Bethesda is hosting its own press conference during E3, on June 10 in Los Angeles, where more information about any new Fallout game is likely to be discussed.
