To celebrate the latest round of Pokemon to be added to Pokemon Go, the creatures have been made stars in their own nature documentary, narrated by Stephen Fry.

Inspired by Planet Earth, the music for the short film is even composed by the creator of the music for the original Planet Earth, Frozen Planet and Blue Planet – George Fenton.

The game’s developer Niantic Labs has recently been rolling out new features to the mobile game – including more new creatures to hunt down and capture.

Among the new Pokemon spotted in the trailer are cheering category creatures Plusle and Minun, as well as the bug-like Masquerain.

The majority of the new characters being introduced in the update are from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire games.

Pokemon Go remains one of the biggest mobile games available, having broken download records when it launched in 2016.

It retains a loyal player base, and is regularly updated with new characters and other new features – with real time and dynamic weather recently introduced for the first time.

Such has been Niantic’s success with Pokemon Go, that the developer is now working on a major new augmented reality title based on the Harry Potter universe.
