New Fifa 18 and Destiny 2 trailers set-up a big autumn for gamers

The football game and first person shooter have been previewed at Gamescom in Germany.

The football season is back in full swing and now football game fans have something to celebrate too – a brand new Fifa 18 trailer.

Developer EA Sports used an event ahead of the Gamescom trade show in Cologne to debut the trailer, which features cover star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Eden Hazard, Delle Alli, Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann are also heavily featured in the short film, which focus on the player remodelling to improve movement, and new skill moves to help further blur the line between the real game and the virtual.

The game is out on September 29.

Elsewhere, Activision and Bungie also dropped the launch trailer for Destiny 2, which is creeping closer to its September 6 launch date.

The trailer takes the closest look yet at villain Dominus Ghaul, the leader of the Red Legion and invader of Earth.

It also gives a stronger sense of just how story-driven Destiny 2 looks set to be, adding a stronger single player to the existing and impressive multiplayer set-up.

Both Destiny and Fifa look likely to keep many a gamer busy in the coming months.
