Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange and Emma Roberts are among the American Horror Story stars who reunited on a Zoom call to reminisce about the show and make plans for future series.

Show creator Ryan Murphy shared a photo on Instagram of the reunion, which also featured Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Denis O’Hare, Finn Wittrock and Dylan McDermott.

Murphy said the group discussed the series of one-hour contained episodes that are being planned, and when they will be able to film the next series of the anthology.

He wrote: “American Horror Story cast zoom call…where we reminisced about the good times…the spin off we’re doing called “American Horror Stories” (one hour contained episodes)…when we will start filming the next season of the mothership…and other stuff I cannot print.

“It was so much fun and I’m glad we caught up. I miss everyone!”

Each season of the show is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a different set of characters and settings but frequently uses returning cast members in new roles.

The most recent series of the anthology horror series, which was created by Murphy and Brad Falchuk, was set in the summer of 1984.

Previous series have been subtitled Coven, Asylum, Freak Show and Roanoke.

It was recently announced that Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin will join the cast for the tenth series of American Horror Story, in his first series regular role on the small screen.
