James Haskell has been hit by 78 complaints after he appeared to describe Ian Wright as having a “clubfoot” on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom said viewers had objected to the former rugby player’s comments made during Monday night’s episode.

Clubfoot is congenital condition that causes the foot to turn inward or downward.

Haskell used the term after Wright decided to run through the jungle campsite.

He said: “He’s completely lost the plot. Look at that clubfoot. Go on then, expend that energy.”

Ofcom said it was still assessing the complaints.

This week Caitlyn Jenner took over from Haskell as campsite leader following a public vote.

Ofcom also received 32 complaints objecting to alleged bullying by Wright towards Andrew Maxwell.

It comes after Wednesday’s episode saw Wright and Maxwell clash when the Irish stand-up took an extra serving of beans for dinner.
