Katie Price’s partner Kris Boyson has appeared in court accused of threatening a police officer after a row with a paparazzo.

Boyson, 30, was due to go on trial charged with using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence.

But the case was adjourned at Medway Magistrates’ Court following the disclosure of new evidence.

He entered a not guilty plea in March and the trial date was set for May 31.

On Friday, chairwoman Mandy Ellis adjourned the case to July 9 for a case management hearing after prosecutor Piers Restell said new audio had become available.

Boyson, dressed in a grey checked suit and red-soled studded loafers, spoke to confirm his name, date of birth, address and nationality.

Ms Ellis told Boyson the adjournment was “in the interest of both sides”.

The allegation, under section four of the Public Order Act, came a day after Price was arrested by police who found her slumped in a drunken state in the back of her pink Range Rover.

The alleged victim of the incident near Boyson’s home in Gravesend, Kent, on October 11 was a Pc Blundell, according to court records.

It was said to have followed Boyson, of Haven Close, arguing with a photographer.

Price was arrested in her car in Greenwich, south-east London, in the early hours of October 10.

The 41-year-old former glamour model was later convicted of being nearly twice the legal limit while in charge of the vehicle, and she was banned from driving.
