More than 40 acts join Download Festival bill

The three-day event takes place at Donington Park, Leicestershire, in June.

Halestorm, Clutch, Skid Row and Stone Temple Pilots are among the bands who have joined the line-up for Download Festival.

A total of 43 acts were added to the bill on Monday, including Beartooth, Fever 333, Coldrain and super group Deadland Ritual, which features former members of Black Sabbath, Guns N’ Roses and Apocalyptica.

They join headliners Slipknot, Tool and Def Leppard for the annual three-day rock extravaganza, which will be held in Leicestershire in June.

Kerrang! Radio has also launched a talent search for the chance to open the Avalanche Stage at the festival.

UK acts can upload their tracks online and the Download team will decide who would best fit the bill.

Download takes place from June 14 to 16 at Donington Park, Leicestershire.
