Shirley Ballas has opened up about her return to dating and revealed she has met someone.
The 58-year-old ballroom expert and star of Strictly Come Dancing has talked about her romantic struggles in the past.
Ballas revealed that she has been urged by her son to be more active on the dating scene, and has now had success.
She spoke on Lorraine about the difficulties of looking for a romantic connection as a woman over 50, but said: “I have met somebody nice.”
The Strictly judge said that she had been encouraged to date more by her son, and persisted despite the difficulties of dating later in life.

She said: “He is wishing for me to have a good relationship over the age of 50. He’s encouraging me to go out and date.
“I think generally women over 50 get into a routine. They have had their family, they have had their children, so they don’t want to go outside the box. There is life over 50.”
Ballas is leading the Matchmaker Mountain segment on Lorraine, in a bid to help over 50s find love.
