Hollywood executives have launched a commission to combat sexual misconduct and inequality across the industry.

The Commission On Sexual Harassment And Advancing Equality In The Workplace has been set-up following a meeting with Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy and other women in the industry.

Chaired by lawyer Anita Hill,  it is being founded and funded by the chief executives of nearly every major Hollywood studio, TV network and record label.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and entertainers’ unions have also signed up to the commission, which follows a wave of accusations against Harvey Weinstein – who denies non-consensual sex – and others in Hollywood.
