Apprentice contestants will be celebrating Lord Sugar’s 70th birthday with a shopping spree on Wednesday night’s episode.

Candidates will embark on the spree across London to snap up items marking milestones in the business mogul’s life and career.

Each team needs to bag nine items including an Amstrad computer, an item from Lord Sugar’s year of birth – 1947 – and a Tottenham Hotspur scarf for the lowest possible price.

Viewers will see the two teams race through the capital in a bid to reach the House of Lords by 7pm with their shopping.

Digital marketing manager Joanna Jarjue takes control of Team Graphene under orders from Lord Sugar, while Sajan Shah heads up Team Vitality.

Both struggle to find the Amstrad computer and have to race to the same dealer’s house before heading to the boardroom, where some hefty fines are handed out.

:: The Apprentice airs on BBC One at 9pm on Wednesday.
