Stereophonics are on course to score their seventh number one for their new album Scream Above The Sounds.
The Welsh band’s tenth studio record is poised to land in the top spot when the Official Albums Chart is announced on Friday.
It currently has a lead of 11,000 combined chart sales ahead of Michael Ball and Alfie Boe’s second album Together Again, which is on track to take the number two spot.
Gregory Porter’s Nat King Cole & Me is on course for third position, which would make it his highest charting album ever, while George Michael’s Listen Without Prejudice, which took number one last week, looks likely to slip to number four.
Pink’s Beautiful Trauma is currently in fifth spot.
Elsewhere in the album charts, Michael Jackson’s Scream is set to jump 88 places to number 11 following a glow-in-the-dark vinyl release.
On the Official Singles Chart, former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello is on course to land her first UK number one with her track Havana, featuring Young Thug.
The singer has spent three weeks at number two but finally has the top spot in her sights.
Post Malone’s Rockstar, which has been number one for the past four weeks, looks likely to slip to number two, while Silence from Marshmello and Khalid is holding steady at number three.
Avicii and Rita Ora’s Lonely Together looks likely to hold on to fourth spot, while Ed Sheeran is likely to take fifth place with Perfect.
