Singer Pink has knocked Liam Gallagher off the top of the charts after storming to number one with her seventh album, Beautiful Trauma.

The American rocker overtook the former Oasis singer whose debut solo record As You Were claimed prime position within days of its release. It has now dropped to number two in this week’s charts.

Pink (real name Alecia Moore) and her daughter Willow posed together in sunglasses as they clutched the golden Official Charts Company trophy, and the singer said: “Wow, a number one.

“Thank you UK for continuing to support me. Two very happy ladies here today.”

Two more new releases grace this week’s top five list, including former Led Zeppelin star Robert Plant’s Carry Fire in third position and Beck’s Colors in at number five.

Ed Sheeran’s Divide is still clinging on to chart success, in at number four this week, while US artist St. Vincent has earned her first UK top 10 after reaching number seven with Masseducation.

Meanwhile, Post Malone and 21 Savage have claimed a third week at number one with their single, Rockstar.

The track appears to be going from strength to strength after achieving six million streams in the last seven days for the first time, fending off competition from other names that have sat in the top five for weeks.

Camila Cabello has held strong with another week in second place for her track, Havana, while Sam Smith sits at number three again with Too Good At Goodbyes.

Avicii and Rita Ora’s Lonely Together has moved up a slot to fourth place, while Little Mix and CNCO’s Latin-inspired Reggaeton Lento is fifth this week.
