Davina McCall has joked that she is growing old “disgracefully” while wearing a thong-style bikini for the first time, less than two weeks before her 50th birthday.
The TV presenter posted a picture of herself while on holiday in a red two-piece swimsuit, her bottom revealed due to the scant design of the briefs, writing alongside it that she was “pretty chuffed” with how it looks on her.
Sharing the picture on Instagram with her 687,000 followers, the keen fitness fan wrote: “Did a run this am… First foray into thong bikini … at 50.
“This might look like I’m showing off… I am. I’m pretty chuffed, having thought I would be in one pieces after 40 I am so happy #growolddisgracefully #girlstrip #cheekyview.”
Her fans rushed to comment under the snap, congratulating her on both her physique and for being “inspirational”.
One wrote: “Goals! I am on the start of that journey, you are inspirational. If you’ve got it and all that.”
Another said: “Your hard work pays off, looking bloody gawjus there lady. Inspiration for us girls in our 40’s.”
Writer and comic David Walliams responded to the post, cheekily writing: “Wow looking amazing for 60.”
His Britain’s Got Talent co-star Alesha Dixon also commented, adding: “You inspire me.”
