Strictly's Susan Calman bursts into tears as she gets dream partner
Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Susan Calman burst into tears as she was given her dream dance partner, Kevin Clifton.
The Scottish comedian was thrilled to be paired with the show’s regular professional during the launch show of this year’s contest on Saturday night.
She welled up following the big reveal, describing it as “like winning the lottery,” and later admitted that she had posters of him in her bedroom.
Earlier in the show she said she only had eyes for one potential partner and joked: “There’s only one dancer that I love slightly more than my wife. If I get him there will be an explosion.
“I have already had the guest bedroom made up … because they come and live with you, don’t they?”
Calman was one of the last of the female celebrity line-up to be paired off, along with Mollie King, Ruth Langsford, Gemma Atkinson, Debbie McGee, Chizzy Akudolu, Charlotte Hawkins and Alexandra Burke.
In the lead-up to this year’s series, she has told how the contest will mark the first time she has both danced with a man and worn a dress since her college years.
