The BBC is investigating after viewers caught sight of a woman’s breasts on a screen behind presenter Sophie Raworth on News At Ten.

A BBC spokeswoman said: “We are establishing the facts and circumstances.”

The footage – thought to be an action film –  was being watched by someone who was sitting down in a chair and wearing headphones in the room behind Raworth.

The newsreader was oblivious to what was going on behind her.

It could be seen as presenter Raworth told viewers about England’s cricket series win over South Africa.

The gaffe comes weeks after newsreader Huw Edwards was left sitting in silence after a technical fault delayed the start of the programme.
