Strictly Come Dancing champion Ore Oduba is preparing for his “biggest adventure yet” – he and wife Portia are having their first baby.

The TV presenter, 31, who regularly welled up on the BBC ballroom dancing show, joked “no prizes for guessing… There will be tears!!!!”

He posted a snap of Portia cradling her growing bump.

“Not sure what I did to deserve this one,” Oduba, 31, wrote on Instagram.

“My best friend, the most amazing wife and soon to be the most amazing mum.

“Been a pretty life-changing last 12 months, now Portia and I are preparing for our biggest adventure yet! Can’t hide our excitement anymore.

“Starting a family has always been our dream. And no prizes for guessing.. There will be tears!!!!”

The delighted father-to-be accompanied his message with the hashtags “babynews, pregnancyannouncement” and referring to his Strictly victory, “tiny dancer”.

Portia also posted a message on Instagram, writing: “Baby Oduba. We already love you so much.”

Oduba has previously said that the couple would love to start a family.

But in March after being quizzed about his baby plans, he joked to TV host Lorraine Kelly: “Are you going to get on my back with the babies as well as my mum and dad?

“Give us a break! Give us a chance! We haven’t got the time!… Last year we spent about a day together!”

The couple married in 2015.

And the star later said of having children: “Since the first week of us being together we spoke about it.”
