Former Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson has shown off the results of his hair transplant.

The dancing champion – who won the talent competition in 2008 at the age of 14 – revealed he would be undergoing the treatment earlier this year.

Appearing on This Morning on Wednesday, Sampson showed off the results and said his dramatic hair loss was caused by alopecia.

He added his head-spinning dance trick may also have contributed to the loss.

The dancer, 24, told the programme former England captain Wayne Rooney’s decision to undergo treatment inspired his decision.

He said: “Wayne Rooney – he was 25 (when he had the transplant)… He gave me a lot of confidence.”

Referring to the operation, he said: “They took 1,500 hairs from the back of my head.

“I had a landing strip of bare skin.”
