All-female American pop rockers Haim could be the ones to knock Ed Sheeran off the number one spot this week, as their second record soars up the charts.

Barely three days after its release, Something To Tell You has already climbed to the top of the UK albums ranking, forcing Sheeran’s hit, Divide, into second place.

A victory this week would mark another interruption to the Galway Girl star’s chart domination this year, depriving him of a 13th non-consecutive week at number one.

Coming days after the three-piece band’s show at last month’s Glastonbury Festival, Something To Tell includes latest single Want You Back, as well as album tracks Nothing’s Wrong and Little Of Your Love.

Haim’s debut collection Days Are Gone shot straight to number one after its 2013 release, but Want You Back failed to make it into the top five list after in dropped in May this year.

This rest of this week’s bestsellers look to be mostly new releases, with Public Service Broadcasting’s Every Valley currently at number three and Jay-Z’s 4:44 at number four.

Meanwhile, Rag ‘N’ Bone man’s first solo studio album Human has dropped two places to number five since last week.

Over in the single’s charts, the Despacito remix by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber is looking at a ninth week in the top spot.

In the all-collaborations top five list, Wild Thoughts by DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller is once again in second place, followed by Unforgettable by French Montana feat. Swae Lee.

This week’s official charts will be announced on Friday.
