Jessica Brown Findlay dons a 70s look as she stars alongside Jack Lowden in a new trailer for the Morrissey film.

The 1970s-set England Is Mine is based on the early life of the former lead singer of The Smiths.

It sees Steven Morrissey, frustrated with his job at the local tax office, find solace in Manchester’s underground gig scene, where he meets Linder Sterling, played by Downton Abbey star Findlay.

She encourages the introverted and uncompromising teenager to make his ideas of stardom a reality, culminating in his first meeting with guitarist Johnny Marr.

Morrissey is played by Lowden, whose credits include Dunkirk, A United Kingdom and 71.
