Hit nature programme Springwatch is returning to TV screens this month from a new home.

The BBC Two show, presented by Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan, Martin Hughes-Games and Gillian Burke, will be filmed in the Cotswolds, after three years at a nature reserve in Suffolk, RSPB Minsmere.

The three-week wildlife series will be based on the National Trust’s Sherborne Park Estate in Gloucestershire, which is home to water voles, red kites and flocks of rare farmland birds like corn buntings and yellowhammers.

Autumnwatch and Winterwatch will also be filmed at the site, where kingfishers and otters can also be spotted.

The estate was left to the National Trust by Lord Sherborne in 1987.

Springwatch begins on May 29 at 8pm on BBC Two.
