Presenters Ant and Dec have told of the unfortunate moment one of their dogs did a “massive wee” on stage during the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

The duo, who are back on TV screens this weekend as the 11th series of the talent show kicks off, said the incident happened as they filmed in London earlier this year.

Dec said: “We had a bring-your-dog-to-work day. That day someone was auditioning doing doggy yoga. So we all got our dogs up on stage and it didn’t go quite to plan.

“My dog didn’t want to be there. Ant’s dog had a massive wee on stage.”

Judge David Walliams said of the incident: “There was what I thought was a really unentertaining act involving dog yoga – I mean I’ve heard of baby yoga and get the point of that, but there’s no reason to get your dog to do some yoga.

“We were asked to bring our dogs up on stage, we had to take our shoes off and the lady’s dog went for a pee on my shoes.

“Then Ant’s dog, he’s got a big Labrador, did the longest pee ever, literally like 10 minutes, it went on forever.”

He added that “there was pints and pints of it on stage” but said it was a “funny” disaster.

However, Dec added: “I think bring-your-dog-to-work day is now banned.”Ant and Dec have presented the ITV programme since it began in 2007 and will appear this weekend alongside returning judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Walliams.Britain’s Got Talent returns on Saturday April 15 at 8pm on ITV.
