Cristiano Ronaldo is so good he scored a golazo and won a trophy during a 5-game ban

He loves a goal, this guy.
He loves a goal, this guy. He loves a goal, this guy.

A five-game ban might prevent most footballers from making headlines, but then most players aren’t Cristiano Ronaldo.

OK, so the four-time Ballon d’Or winner’s ban for pushing a referee during the Spanish Super Cup didn’t apply to the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy, a friendly match dedicated to the memory of former president Santiago Bernabeu Yeste.

And given the chance to take to the pitch once more, Ronaldo demonstrated exactly what Zinedine Zidane’s team will miss over the coming weeks.

CR7’s stunner settled the tie against Fiorentina, with Real Madrid winning 2-1.

Ronaldo turns 33 this season – is he getting better with age?

It’s not just the fans who can’t quite believe what they’re seeing, either.

Another trophy in the bank for the former Manchester United forward, who simply posted this after the game on Instagram.

A collector of trophies and goals, who’s to say how many more the Portugal forward will earn this season?
