This police officer was showing off his moves as he worked at a community event in Texas.

The cop threw some shapes as music played out at a back to school event organised by ABC Dental and Houston Police Department (HPD).

He was captured on video by Julia Jauregui, who shared the footage on Twitter after being impressed with his dancing.

The event gives out backpacks to children filled with school supplies that have been collected by officers in the previous months.

Julia, part of the education outreach department at ABC Dental, said: “During this event almost 1,000 students walked away with school supplies. And with the help of HPD, over 4,000 students around Houston and Pasadena area were helped.”

This was the last of five such events.
