It was all going so well for Northampton Town.
The League One club had just unveiled their sparkling new third kit and it was getting a pretty decent reaction from fans – and then Manchester City turned up, uninvited, and ruined the party.

City thought so too, and it’s unsurprising given it’s essentially their shirt from last season.
On Monday a mischievous member of staff hi-jacked Northampton’s tweet, implying that the Cobblers’ kit was less than original.
